The Job

Responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager's job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.

Essential Functions

  • Define the product strategy and roadmap
  • Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and opportunities that compliment product functionality
  • Be an expert with respect to the competition
  • Perform product demos to customers
  • Manage timeliness of key development events from conception to launch
  • Manage the prioritization and development of new enhancements and features
  • Work closely with engineering to develop product functionality
  • Work closely with customer support to solve issues and maximize user satisfaction
  • Research to provide for informed product decisions
  • Create detailed cost and revenue models
  • Present product positioning and marketing plans
  • Present sales tool and collateral requirements
  • Analyze and report product success

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
  • Technical background
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred)
